10-minute core and abs home workout to keep you fit during this lockdown – Times of India

Amid the current coronavirus pandemic, we have all been forced to be locked inside our homes. With most parts of the country under lockdown, we cannot step out of our homes, even for our morning workouts. In this situation, many think they will lose track of their daily workout regimen which will have an effect on their fitness goal. However, that is not the case. You can follow these simple short workout routines to keep you fit and healthy even during the pandemic. Nutritionist and trainer, Nidhi Kamal Mohan, has a perfect 10-minute workout for your core and abs that you can easily do at home. The routine has five exercises repeated in three sets of 25 reps each.

Dead BugLie on the ground with hand and legs stretched upwards in the air. Bring your right arm and your left leg to the ground and then back to the starting position. Repeat with the other hand and leg. This exercise helps strengthen and stabilize your core. It is beneficial for your spine and back. It also helps in your posture and relieving pain.

Plank with leg twistStart with a high plank. twist your body to one side by lifting your arm in the air. Now bring your butt to the ground. Repeat the same with the other arm. This exercise works your upper back, chest, core and your glutes.
